Working with Your Closing Management Assistant or Listing Management Assistant

Your Closing Management Assistant (CMA) or Listing Management Assistant (LMA) is a professional focused on using their transaction coordination talents to make sure everything is handled smoothly from listing to contract signing.

You will attend a Closing Management Core Services Kick Off Call, during which your CMA/LMA will gather information, inform you about ways we can help and give you a next step to getting your closing services moving. At least 3 business days before this call, send your CMA/LMA the following items:

We value strong relationships with our clients. Here are some key points to smooth sailing with your CMA/LMA:

  • Reply to approval requests and closing/listing communications within 1 business day. Delays in replying can interrupt your CMA’s/LMA's productive flow and slow down your closing work.
  • Communicate with your CMA/LMA. We want you to have a great experience. Open communication helps your CMA/LMA meet your closing needs. Always send messages to your CMA/LMA via email; please do not text. Using email allows us to maintain communication continuity across our teams.
  • If you dislike something your CMA/LMA does for you, respond with specifics instead of, “I don’t like it.” Giving details helps make the process more efficient.
  • We love to brainstorm! If you see something closing-related that you love, email your CMA/LMA and KA about it. We might be able to do something similar for you (if it’s closing related, we probably have a ninja for that).

In turn, you can expect the following from your CMA/LMA and the Closing Management Team:

  • 1 business day, or less, wait time for email replies
  • A courteous attitude
  • Professionally sound recommendations from experienced closing individuals
  • Innovative problem solving customized to your needs

Before you go, a note about the first 100 days with us:

It’s our goal to have your closings running like a well-oiled machine at day 100, but we need you to partner with us to make it happen. During the first 10 weeks, expect to spend an hour per week “with us”. About half that time will probably be communicating with us, with the remainder of time spent reviewing closing items we send to you for approval or feedback. Once we get what may seem like pain-staking details out of the way, you can begin focusing on your talents. We want Day 100 to be the start of your Billion Dollar Agent Manifesto deal closing smiles. =)
